  • Store setup* (adding products, blog posts, shipping rates, etc.)

  • Fully custom sections built*

*Note on cost: Many stores will fit into the starting price of $5000 USD. If you need more than the basic pages, need fully custom sections built, or the full store setup, then a custom quote can be provided.

The Process

  • Design closely to a theme. This means choose a theme from the Shopify Theme Store, view the demos, and build with the sections and layouts shown (mix and match between the demo styles). Add customizations to create a more bespoke website that stands out from others. Remember that great branding and photography go a long way.

  • If time permits, it’s great if you can show me the design before showing your client. I’m interested in seeing which elements stray from the theme’s capabilities. This helps make sure that there are no surprises at the design handover and that the design is within the initial scope discussed. If during the design, you’ve realized that you want something more customized than originally discussed, the quote may need to be adjusted.

  • Send me the design and all accompanying files. I need the web design files (Adobe XD preferably), as well as organized folders with the web fonts, logos, favicon, and some images. You don’t need to export every little image in the design, but if you have photography or images that all need to be the same size (like in a slideshow), then put them into a folder. I can export some elements from XD.

  • Give me 2-3 weeks to build the website. Following this, I will send you a way to easily leave feedback and ask for tweaks so that it’s perfect for your client.

 FAQs

  • That’s up to you! Some prefer to have me charge the client directly, and some prefer me to bill them. I have no preference for billing. For general communications, I will be speaking with the designer as the scope and work has been discussed with you.

    The client does not need to know that I exist. However, I always reserve the right to use the piece in my portfolio when doing a full build (with a clear description of my role in the project).

  • I always start my site builds with an existing theme. This gives you the most flexibility and is the most affordable. A good theme takes a team and several months of work to create.

    However, I can certainly build custom sections and add customizations that make the theme appear custom.

  • Generally, 1-2 months in advance works well, but I may have immediate availability. The best way to find out about my current availability is to contact me.

  • I require a 50% deposit to reserve the project date, and 50% to be paid during our project date.

  • • Adobe XD / Figma design file
    • Web fonts
    • Favicon
    • Logos
    • Images & graphics (some exported but not all need to be)

    All neatly wrapped up in a Google Drive or WeTranser zip file.

  • It’s great to have small bits of copy (titles, subtitles, etc) in the design file. Large chunks of text like FAQs, About pages, etc. can be in a text document.

  • If you would like to include Luna Templates sections in your design, they will need to be purchased on the website but can be installed at no additional cost. This is a far more affordable option than building custom sections.
